The Christian Higher Education Special Committee correlates the work of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina with the educational institutions affiliated with the Convention. The Committee seeks to foster the relationship between the schools with the churches in keeping with the Convention’s mission of assisting churches in their fulfillment of their divinely appointed mission.
In addition, the Committee promotes Baptist College Day and the Baptist State Convention's North Carolina Baptist Scholarship Program. This year the Baptist Scholarship Program awarded nearly $900,000, with more than 700 students receiving scholarships. Brian K. Davis serves as the liaison to the Christian Higher Education Special Committee.

Baptist College Day
Help young people and their families hear how students excel and learn to live a Christ-centered life at North Carolina Baptist schools. Baptist College Day is traditionally celebrated in February, but can be celebrated any time during the year.
Celebrate Baptist College Day in one of several ways:
- Contact one of the five affiliated Baptist universities/college and schedule a speaker to share with your congregation the advantages of receiving a distinctively Christian education.
- Download and email the brochure below to prospective students. The three bulletin inserts may be used on three different Sundays, or used all on one Sunday.
- Pray for the faculty, staff, administration and trustees serving at our affiliated schools. Pray for students, especially those who do not know Christ, to come to know Christ as Savior and Lord while on our campuses.
