Intro Video: A Walk Through 2 Timothy 2:2

The rapport that Paul had with Timothy is an example of a true disciple-making relationship, and as Christians, we should strive to foster such relationships with others. The goal is always to spread the gospel to others also. However, often we do not feel equipped or worthy of guiding someone else through scripture. We must remember that if we profess Christ, we must be obedient to be faithful to Him. He will equip us to do His will 2 Timothy 3:17.

Prayer Points

  • Pray for those who are and have discipled you.
  • Pray that God would open a door for you to disciple someone else.
  • Pray that men and women in your church would be faithful to teaching and reproducing the gospel in others.

Study Questions

  1. How important is the training of leaders to Paul? Is it important to you and your church?
  2. According to Paul in 2 Timothy 2:2, what are the “things” that are to be passed on to others?
  3. According to Paul, how is the gospel to be entrusted to others?
